How do I create a vCard QR code (digital business card)?

Click Create new, then Create a QR Code, and choose vCard Plus on the Type step. Fill in Name, Surname, Organization, Mobile Phone and Email, style the code and click Download ✓. vCard Plus is a dynamic-only type: scanners open your contact page and tap Save Contact, which hands their phone a contact file to save. Change your number later and the printed card keeps working.

Here is how to create a vCard Plus QR code. Scanners get your contact page and a Save Contact button, so nobody retypes your number.
Use it on a business card, on the last slide of a talk so the room can save you, or by the till so customers keep your number. Because the code is dynamic, you can change your number later and the printed card keeps working.
In the dashboard, click Create new, then Create a QR Code. Pick vCard Plus from the type grid and leave it on Dynamic. Give the code a name, then type the first name, last name, company, mobile phone and email. Choose a theme, then Download. The code is saved and ready to print.
First, the name. Only the first name is required, but add the last name too. Second, the company. It shows under your name. Third, mobile phone and email. Both go into the saved contact, so type them exactly.

When to use a vCard QR code
- Business cards. Print the code on the card; the details stay editable after printing.
- Slide decks and talks. Show it on the last slide so the room can save you before leaving.
- Shop counters and clinics. A card by the till so customers keep your number for next time.
Steps in the dashboard
- Open the wizard. In the dashboard sidebar click Create new, then Create a QR Code.
- Pick the type. On the Type step choose vCard Plus — it is in the first fifteen tiles, so you will not need More. vCard Plus is dynamic only, so the Static tab stays disabled.
- Fill in who you are. On the Content step, under Basic Information, type Name (required) and Surname, then the job title and Organization. Add a photo if you want one.
- Add the contact details. Fill in Mobile Phone, Email, Personal Website and Address. These land in the saved contact, so type them exactly. Optional extras: a landline, a fax number, a map link, social links, and the Contact button text and Button position.
- Style it. On the QR Design step pick one of the ten Themes, or set your own dots, colours, frame and logo. Keep strong contrast between Dots Color and Background.
- Save and download. Click Download ✓ to create the code. For the image file, open it from My QR Codes, click Download, and pick JPEG, PNG, SVG or PDF in the Save as... dialog.
After you download
The code is now in My QR Codes, where you can rename it, tag it, file it in a folder or copy its short URL.
- Change the content later. Click Edit on the code, change the fields, then click Update ✓. The printed pattern never changes, so nothing has to be reprinted.
- Scans are counted. A dynamic scan passes through us, so the code records device, operating system, browser, referrer and country. Click Full analytics to read them. Cities and the scan map come with the free trial and the Business plan.
- When your number changes. Edit the code once. Every card already in circulation now shows the new number.
Common problems
Nothing is saved when someone taps the button
The button hands the phone a contact file and the phone asks the person to confirm. If it opens on screen instead, they add it from the phone's own menu. See vCard QR code will not save the contact on iPhone.
The code will not save
Name is required. If the toast says "Please enter a valid phone number" or "Please enter a valid email address", fix the highlighted field first.
The code is hard to scan on a small card
A card leaves little room. Use a plain theme, skip the frame, and check the printed size first — see printing QR codes on business cards.
Frequently asked questions
Is the contact added to the phone automatically?
No. The page offers a Save Contact button and the phone asks the person to confirm.
Can I include a photo?
Yes. The form has a photo upload that appears at the top of the contact page.
Can a vCard code be static?
No. vCard Plus is dynamic only, because the contact page is hosted and stays editable.
Can I change my details after printing?
Yes. Edit the code and click Update ✓; the pattern on the card does not change.
