QR Codes for Zapier
Turn every scan into a workflow. Send QR scan and form events to Slack, Google Sheets, Salesforce, Mailchimp, and 5,000+ Zapier apps using a single webhook URL — no code, no glue services.
Why Connect QR Codes to Zapier?
A QR scan is one of the most precise signals you can capture in the physical world. Someone picked up a flyer, walked past a poster, sat down at a table, opened a piece of packaging — and decided to engage. Without an integration, that signal lives inside a QR analytics dashboard. Useful, but isolated. With Zapier, it becomes a trigger that fans out to every tool your team already uses.
QRCodeStack's Zapier integration is webhook-based. You configure it once in your dashboard, paste a webhook URL from any Zap, and pick the events you want to forward — qr.scanned, qr.created, or form.submitted. From that moment on, every matching event in QRCodeStack POSTs a structured JSON payload to your Zap, where you can map fields into actions across Slack, Google Sheets, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Notion, Airtable, HubSpot, and the rest of Zapier's 5,000+ app catalog.
The most common setups are simple but powerful. Sales teams pipe scan events into Salesforce or a lead-routing Zap. Operations teams log scans to Google Sheets for live dashboards. Marketing teams push form submissions into Mailchimp segments and trigger automated email sequences. Internal teams set up Slack notifications when a high-value asset gets scanned. None of these setups require code, a developer, or middleware — just a Zap and a webhook URL.
The Zapier integration ships on the Advanced plan and works alongside QRCodeStack's full analytics dashboard — events flow to Zapier without affecting in-app reporting. If you outgrow webhooks and need a deeper CRM tie-in, the same Advanced plan also includes the native HubSpot integration.
What Teams Build With QR + Zapier
Six everyday automations our customers turn on within their first week.
Slack Scan Alerts
Post a Slack message every time a high-value QR is scanned. Filter by QR name, country, or device — only ping the channel when it matters.
Google Sheets Logging
Append a row to a sheet on every scan. Build live dashboards, export to BI tools, or hand a clean log to finance or ops without touching the QRCodeStack API.
Salesforce Leads From Scans
Push form submissions tied to a QR straight into Salesforce as new leads or contacts. Keep field reps and account owners in the loop with the same Zap.
Mailchimp Signups
Subscribe scan-form respondents to a Mailchimp audience. Tag them with the QR campaign name so segmentation and welcome sequences fire automatically.
SMS & Email Follow-Ups
Trigger a Twilio SMS or transactional email the moment someone scans and submits a form. Hot leads hear back in seconds, not the next morning.
Custom Dashboards
Pipe events into Notion, Airtable, Coda, or your own data warehouse via Zapier. Build the dashboard your team actually checks every morning.
How to Get Started
Three steps. About five minutes. Then every scan ripples through your entire stack.
Add Zapier in QRCodeStack
In your QRCodeStack dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations and add a new Zapier integration. The integration is available on the Advanced plan.
Paste Your Zap Webhook URL
In Zapier, create a Zap that starts with the Webhooks by Zapier (Catch Hook) trigger. Copy the unique URL Zapier gives you, paste it into the QRCodeStack form.
Pick the Events to Forward
Select qr.scanned, qr.created, form.submitted, or any combination. Save and start scanning to test live.
Why Teams Pick QRCodeStack for Zapier
Predictable webhook events, sane payloads, and pricing that does not punish high scan volume.
Standard Webhook Format
Every event ships as JSON over HTTPS POST with the same field structure. Map once in Zapier and reuse the same payload across every Zap.
Real-Time Delivery
Events fire the instant a scan or form submission lands. No polling, no batching delays — your Zap runs in seconds.
Per-QR Event Filtering
Add Zapier filters on QR name, country, or device to split traffic across Zaps. One QR can drive a Slack alert; another can trigger a CRM workflow.
Affordable Advanced Plan
Zapier ships on the Advanced plan. Most competitors charge enterprise prices for the same feature. Or grab a single one-time QR for $1 on lower tiers.
No Per-Scan Webhook Fees
Send unlimited scan events to Zapier on the Advanced plan. We do not bill per webhook fire, per Zap, or per event type. Volume stays predictable.
Retries on Failure
If your Zap is temporarily unavailable, QRCodeStack retries the delivery. You never silently lose a scan event because of a transient error.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which plan includes Zapier?
The Zapier integration is available on the Advanced plan. You can add unlimited Zapier integrations and send unlimited scan events through them. Zapier itself is a separate product with its own free and paid tiers — most QRCodeStack customers start on Zapier's free plan and upgrade if their Zaps start exceeding monthly task limits. See the full QRCodeStack pricing page for plan comparisons.
What events can I send to Zapier?
Three event types currently fire from QRCodeStack to Zapier: qr.scanned (every time a code is scanned, with timestamp, device, country, and the QR code metadata), qr.created (when a new QR is generated in your account), and form.submitted (when someone fills out a form attached to a QR — like feedback or lead capture). Each event sends a structured JSON payload that Zapier maps directly into action steps.
How do I connect Zapier to QRCodeStack?
In Zapier, create a new Zap that starts with the Webhooks by Zapier trigger using the Catch Hook event. Zapier will give you a unique webhook URL. Paste that URL into QRCodeStack under Settings → Integrations → Zapier, choose which events to forward, and save. The next scan or form submission lands in your Zap immediately, and you can test the trigger inside Zapier's editor.
Can I send scan data to Google Sheets through Zapier?
Yes — and it is one of the most common QRCodeStack setups. Connect QRCodeStack to a Zap with the Webhooks trigger, then add a Google Sheets action like Create Spreadsheet Row. Map the scan timestamp, country, device, and QR name from the webhook payload into your sheet columns. Every scan from then on writes a new row automatically — useful for live dashboards, retention tracking, or simple audit logs you can share with non-technical teammates.
