One code on the carton, two jobs done

A GS1 Digital Link code carries the identifiers your supply chain needs and, on the same scan, takes a patient to the current leaflet.

Packaging is slow; information is not

Carton artwork changes on a timescale measured in months. Patient information changes when it changes. That mismatch is why leaflets end up out of date inside boxes that are perfectly current.

A dynamic code decouples the two. The printed carton stays as approved, while the destination behind the code can be updated the day new information is published.

Because the destination is under your control rather than baked into the pattern, there is no artwork change, no reprint and no stock to withdraw when the leaflet is revised.

GS1 Digital Link, not a plain URL

Pharmaceutical packaging already carries GS1 identifiers. A GS1 Digital Link code expresses those in a URI, so a single symbol serves both a scanner reading GTIN, batch and expiry and a patient's phone camera opening a web page.

That matters because the alternative is two codes on one carton, competing for space that is already tightly regulated and fully committed.

We publish the conformance detail on the GS1 Digital Link page, and the EU regulatory angle on the Digital Product Passport page.

What this page does not claim

QRCodeStack generates conformant codes and hosts the destination behind them. It is not a regulatory submission system, a serialisation platform or a pharmacovigilance tool, and nothing here replaces your obligations under local law.

If you are evaluating us for regulated packaging, the practical questions are usually about custom domains, data processing and uptime. Those are worth a conversation rather than a feature list — the enterprise page has the detail and a booking link.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the code GS1 conformant?

Yes. QRCodeStack generates GS1 Digital Link URIs following the GS1 Digital Link URI Syntax standard, so a single code can carry GTIN, batch and expiry while remaining scannable by a normal phone camera.

Can we update the patient leaflet without reprinting cartons?

Yes. That is the main reason to use a dynamic code here. The printed symbol stays fixed while the destination behind it is updated whenever the information changes.

Can the code live on our own domain?

Yes. Custom domains are available so scans resolve on a hostname you control rather than ours, which matters when the code appears on regulated packaging.

Does this make us compliant?

No. It gives you conformant codes and a controllable destination. Regulatory compliance depends on your processes and your obligations in each market, and nothing on this page substitutes for legal advice.
