How do I create a WiFi QR code?

Click Create new, then Create a QR Code, and choose WiFi on the Type step. Type the network name into Network Name (SSID), add the Password, leave Encryption on WPA/WPA2, then style the code and click Download ✓. A dynamic WiFi code opens a hosted card showing the network name and a Copy Password button; a static one encodes the credentials so most phone cameras offer to join straight away.

Here is how to create a WiFi QR code. One scan gives guests your network name and password, with nothing to read out and nothing to type.
Use it anywhere people keep asking for the WiFi. A cafe counter card, a clinic waiting room, the door of a guest room, or a coworking desk. Because the code is dynamic, you can change the password later and the printed code keeps working.
In the dashboard, click Create new, then Create a QR Code. Pick WiFi from the type grid and leave it on Dynamic. Give the code a name, type the network name exactly as it appears on a phone, and add the password. Choose a theme for the code itself, then Download. The code is saved and ready to print.
Three fields matter. First, the network name, spelled exactly like the phone shows it. Second, the password. The scanner gets a one tap copy button, so long passwords are fine. Third, the security type. It is WPA for almost every modern router.

When to use a WiFi QR code
- Cafes, clinics and salons. Print it on the counter card or table tent instead of a sticker with the password on it.
- Home and office guests. One code by the door, and nobody asks for the password again.
- Events and coworking. Rotate the password later, on a dynamic code, and the printed card keeps working.
Steps in the dashboard
- Open the wizard. In the dashboard sidebar click Create new, then Create a QR Code.
- Pick the type. On the Type step choose WiFi — it is in the first fifteen tiles, so you will not need More. Leave the toggle on Dynamic unless you want a fixed code.
- Enter the network. On the Content step type Network Name (SSID) exactly as it appears in a phone's WiFi list, including capitals and spaces. The field takes up to 32 characters.
- Enter the password and encryption. Type the Password, then set Encryption — WPA/WPA2 for almost every modern router, WEP for old hardware, None for an open network.
- Style it. On the QR Design step pick one of the ten Themes, or set your own dots, colours, frame and logo. Keep strong contrast between Dots Color and Background.
- Save and download. Click Download ✓ to create the code. For the image file, open it from My QR Codes, click Download, and pick JPEG, PNG, SVG or PDF in the Save as... dialog.
After you download
Put the code where people look for the password: the counter, the table tent, the back of the guest-room door.
- What the scanner sees. On a dynamic code the scan opens a card with the network name, the encryption and a hidden password with a reveal toggle and a Copy Password button. On a static code the credentials are inside the pattern and the phone offers to connect directly.
- Change the password later. Only on a dynamic code. Click Edit on the code, change the fields, then click Update ✓. The printed pattern never changes, so nothing has to be reprinted.
- Scan data. Dynamic WiFi codes record scans; static ones cannot, because the scan never reaches us.
- Print files. Download SVG or a print-ready PDF for print, and scan your own code with a phone first.
Common problems
The code scans but the phone will not connect
The name has to match the broadcast network exactly, and hidden networks or WPA3-only routers can refuse. See WiFi QR code scans but will not connect.
You want the phone to join automatically
Choose Static on the Type step. The credentials are then encoded in the pattern itself. Static codes need a paid plan, cannot be edited, and record no scans.
The password contains punctuation
Type it exactly as it is. On a dynamic code the scanner can tap Copy Password, which avoids transcription mistakes entirely.

Should I pick Dynamic or Static?
Static if you want the phone to join in one tap and the password will not change. Dynamic if you want to rotate the password later or count scans.
Is the password visible to anyone who scans?
Yes — that is the point of the code. Anyone who can scan the printed code can read or copy the password, so treat it like a printed password.
Which encryption should I choose?
WPA/WPA2 for almost every modern router. WEP only for old equipment, None for an open network.
Can I change the password without reprinting?
Only on a dynamic code. A static code is fixed forever.
