Updated September 14, 2026 · 2 min read

Click Create new, then Create a QR Code, click More on the Type step and choose Pinterest. Paste the profile or board address into Pinterest URL, then design and download. Keep it on Dynamic so one printed sign can follow whichever board is current.

Here is how to create a Pinterest QR code. One scan opens your board, so people can save your work while they look at it.

Use it where someone is already looking at your work. A market stall sign, a product tag, or the wall beside a display piece. Because the code is dynamic, you can point it at a new board later and the printed code keeps working.

In the dashboard, click Create new, then Create a QR Code. Click More, pick Pinterest and leave it on Dynamic. Give the code a name and paste the Pinterest URL. Choose a theme for the code itself, then Download. The code is saved and ready to print.

Three things matter. First, the URL. Open the profile or board in a browser and copy the address. Second, board or profile. A board opens one collection. The profile shows everything. Third, test it. Scan the preview with your own phone before you print.

Try it on the seven-day free trial. No credit card, five dynamic QR codes. Link in the description.

When to use a Pinterest QR code

  • Craft fairs and market stalls. A sign on the stall sends browsers to the board, not a search.
  • Product tags and packaging. Buyers find the matching collection at home and keep saving.
  • Showrooms and studio walls. Beside the piece on display, for the pin that follows the look.

The Pinterest QR code generator runs the same wizard if you want to build one before signing in.

Steps in the dashboard

  1. Open the wizard. In the dashboard, click Create new, then Create a QR Code.
  2. Pick the type. On the Type step the grid shows the first 15 types, so click More to show the rest and choose Pinterest. Leave it on Dynamic unless you have a reason not to: static codes need a paid plan, record no scans, and can never be edited.
  3. Fill in the content. Click Next →. The first field is QR Code Name — it is optional and only for your own list. Then, under Basic Information:
    FieldWhat to put in it
Pinterest URLOpen the profile or the board in a browser and paste the whole address. A board opens one collection; the profile shows everything.
Edit parametersOptional, on Pro and Business. Adds UTM campaign tags to the link before it opens.
  4. Design and download. Click Next → to reach QR Design, pick a theme or set your own colours, then click Download ✓. The code is saved to My QR Codes at the same time.

After you download

A dynamic code can be pointed somewhere new at any time: open it from My QR Codes, click Edit, change the address and save. The printed pattern never changes, because it always points at the same short address on our side.

Scans are recorded too, so Full analytics shows totals, devices, browsers and where people came from. A static code encodes the address directly — nothing to edit afterwards and no scan data at all. See static versus dynamic in QRCodeStack.

Common problems

The scan opens a search page

A partial address was pasted. Open the board in a browser, copy the complete address from the bar, and edit the code.

I want a different board on the same sign

Edit the code and paste the other board's address. Only dynamic codes can be repointed.

The board is empty for scanners

Secret boards are not visible to anyone else. Make the board public before you print.

Scan the preview with your own phone before you send anything to print. Testing before printing covers what else to check.
