How do I create a Google Maps location QR code?

Click Create new, then Create a QR Code, click More on the Type step and choose Maps. Paste the share link into Google Maps URL or Address — a written address also works — then design and download. Keep it on Dynamic so a move to a new address only needs an edit.

Here is how to create a Maps QR code. One scan opens your location in Google Maps, with directions one tap away.
Use it wherever someone has to find you. A wedding invitation, an event flyer, a business card, or the pickup note in a delivery bag. Because the code is dynamic, you can change the location later and the printed code keeps working.
In the dashboard, click Create new, then Create a QR Code. Click More, pick Maps and leave it on Dynamic. Give the code a name and paste the Google Maps link. Choose a theme for the code itself, then Download. The code is saved and ready to print.
Three things matter. First, the Maps link. Open the place in Google Maps, tap Share, and copy the link. Second, check the pin. Open your link and confirm it lands on the right entrance. Third, test it. Scan the preview before you print.

When to use a Maps QR code
- Invitations and event flyers. Guests get directions from the invite instead of typing the venue name.
- Business cards and brochures. The address is one scan away, spelled right every time.
- Delivery notes and packaging. Customers find the store or the pickup point without a search.

Steps in the dashboard
- Open the wizard. In the dashboard, click Create new, then Create a QR Code.
- Pick the type. On the Type step the grid shows the first 15 types, so click More to show the rest and choose Maps. Leave it on Dynamic unless you have a reason not to: static codes need a paid plan, record no scans, and can never be edited.
- Fill in the content. Click Next →. The first field is QR Code Name — it is optional and only for your own list. Then, under Basic Information:

A written address works too, but it is matched by search and can land on the wrong pin. Edit parameters Optional, on Pro and Business. Adds UTM campaign tags to the link before it opens. - Design and download. Click Next → to reach QR Design, pick a theme or set your own colours, then click Download ✓. The code is saved to My QR Codes at the same time.
After you download
A dynamic code can be pointed somewhere new at any time: open it from My QR Codes, click Edit, change the address and save. The printed pattern never changes, because it always points at the same short address on our side.

Common problems
The pin is on the wrong side of the building
Written addresses are matched by search. Drop the pin yourself in Google Maps, share it, and paste that link instead.
The scan opens a browser map, not the app
The phone decides. Both show the same place, and directions work either way.
We moved and the old address still opens
Edit the code and paste the new link. A static code cannot be changed, so it will point at the old address forever.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use a plus code or coordinates?
Yes, as long as they are inside a link that Google Maps understands. Sharing from the app is the safest route.
Can I change the location after printing?
Yes, on a dynamic code.
Does the scanner need the Maps app?
No. It opens in the browser when the app is missing.
Does this show my visitors on a map in analytics?
