How do I cancel my subscription (and can I undo it)?
Updated September 14, 2026 · 2 min read
There is no cancel button inside the dashboard. Open Settings → Personal settings → Billing, click Manage Subscription to open the Dodo billing portal in a new tab, and cancel there. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. While the cancellation is pending, an Undo Cancellation button appears on the Billing page and reverses it.
Steps to cancel
- Open Billing.
Settings → Personal settings → Billing. - Find Subscription Details. The card lists your plan, status, billing cycle and next billing date.
- Click Manage Subscription. The Dodo billing portal opens in a new tab — the helper text under the button says so.
- Cancel in the portal and confirm.
- Check the Billing page. Within a minute or two the status row changes and the date row is relabelled Cancels On. If it still looks unchanged, click Sync Subscription.
If you are still in the 7-day trial and never entered card details, there is nothing to cancel. The trial simply ends on its own.
What happens after you cancel
Nothing changes immediately. The Billing page shows: "Your subscription has been cancelled and will end on {date}. You still have full access until then."
Until that date you keep everything — creating codes, editing destinations, analytics, downloads. On that date the subscription ends and your dynamic codes stop redirecting; see what happens to your QR codes when a subscription ends. Nothing is deleted, and static codes are unaffected because their content lives in the printed pattern.
Undoing a cancellation
While the cancellation is pending, the Billing page shows an Undo Cancellation button next to Manage Subscription. Click it and the subscription carries on as before, on the same plan and the same renewal date.
After the end date has passed, the button is gone and the portal cannot revive a cancelled subscription. To come back, use the Choose a Plan card on the Billing page and subscribe again — your existing codes and their scan history are still there and start working again immediately.
Refunds
Because there is a 7-day free trial that needs no credit card, we generally do not offer refunds — the trial is the time to decide. Partial billing periods are not refunded either, so cancelling mid-month does not produce a credit; you keep access to the end of the period you paid for.
If you think you were billed in error, email support@qrcodestack.com with the date and amount and we will look at it.
A refund on its own does not cancel anything. If you ask for a refund and also want the subscription to stop, cancel it in the portal as well, or it will renew.
Common problems
I cannot find Manage Subscription
The button only appears once a payment has been made. If your subscription has already ended, the same button reads View Billing History and opens the same portal. If your renewal failed, it reads Fix Payment Method.
Nothing happened when I clicked it
The portal opens in a new tab — check for a blocked pop-up, then try again.
I cancelled but was charged again
Check the status on the Billing page and click Sync Subscription. If it still shows active, email support@qrcodestack.com.
I want my account gone, not just the subscription
Cancelling leaves the account and its data in place. Deleting the account is a separate step.
Frequently asked questions
Do my QR codes stop working the moment I cancel?
No. They keep working until the end of the period you have paid for, then stop redirecting until you subscribe again.
Can I cancel from inside the dashboard?
No. Cancellation happens in the billing portal, reached through Manage Subscription on the Billing page.
Will I get a refund for the rest of the month?
No. Partial billing periods are not refunded. You keep full access until the period ends.
Does cancelling delete my data?
No. Your codes, settings and scan history stay in your account, and your analytics remain readable.
Can I restart later on a different plan?
Yes. Subscribe again from the Choose a Plan card on the Billing page; any plan will reactivate your existing codes.

What happens to my QR codes if my subscription ends?
Dynamic codes stop redirecting and scanners see a 'taking a short break' page. Nothing is deleted — subscribing again reactivates the same printed codes.

Billing → Change Plan, pick a plan and period, confirm. Every change is a new checkout, and a downgrade is blocked until you are within the new limits.
Where do I find invoices, receipts and VAT or GST invoices?
Billing → Manage Subscription (or View Billing History) opens the billing portal, where every invoice and receipt lives. Email support for a VAT or GST invoice.
How do I delete my QRCodeStack account?
Settings → Profile → Privacy and Data, type DELETE, click Delete account. Deletion runs 30 days later; cancel it by signing in. Cancel billing separately.
Still stuck?
Email support@qrcodestack.com with the email on your account and, if it is about one code, its name or short link. A person replies within one business day, usually sooner.
