How do I reuse pixel settings with tracking profiles?

Updated September 14, 2026 · 2 min read · Pro and Business

A tracking profile is a saved set of pixel IDs and UTM values you create once and reuse. Build one on the Marketing page under More in the sidebar, then pick it from the Tracking Profile selector in the QR wizard's Stats & Tracking section and the profile's pixel IDs are filled in for you. Profiles need a Pro or Business plan, the same gate as the pixel fields themselves.

Create a profile

  1. In the sidebar open More → Marketing.
  2. Switch to the Tracking Profiles tab and click Create Profile.
  3. Give it a Profile Name — something that names the account it belongs to, such as "Main store tracking".
  4. Under Retargeting Pixels, fill in Facebook Pixel ID, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager and TikTok Pixel ID as needed.
  5. Under UTM Parameters, set Source, Medium, Campaign and Term if you want the profile to record your standard scheme.
  6. Click Create.

The profiles table lists each profile with its pixels, its UTM source and how many QR codes use it. The pencil and bin icons edit and delete.

Apply a profile to a code

  1. Create or edit a dynamic code and open the Content step.
  2. Expand Stats & Tracking, then find Tracking Profile at the top of Tracking & Analytics.
  3. Choose your profile. Its pixel IDs drop straight into the four fields below, where you can still adjust them for this one code.
  4. Finish the wizard and save.

Leave the selector on Manual configuration to type IDs for a single code without touching a profile. With no profiles saved yet, the selector is replaced by the line "No profiles yet. Create one or configure manually below."

The selector fills in the pixel fields only. A profile's UTM values are stored for reference — set the parameters for a code under Edit parameters below the URL field, as described in tracking scans in Google Analytics 4.

The Overview and Activity Log tabs

Overview gives four counters: Pixel Events and how many codes are firing them, Webhook Deliveries, Integration Syncs with a failure count, and Tracking Profiles.

Activity Log is the delivery record for integration events — time, provider, event, status and the error message when one failed. It is the place to look when something downstream did not receive a scan. It stays empty until codes with integrations are scanned.

Common problems

The Marketing page shows an upgrade screen

Marketing features need a Pro or Business plan. The message on the page mentions Pro; Business includes it too.

Editing a profile did not change my existing codes

Applying a profile copies its IDs onto the code at the moment you pick it. Codes saved earlier keep the values they were saved with — reopen each one and pick the profile again to refresh it.

Deleting a profile

Codes that already carry its IDs keep working. Only the saved shortcut goes away.

The profile dropdown is missing from the wizard

It only appears on dynamic codes, when signed in, on a plan that includes pixel tracking. See adding pixels to a QR code.

Frequently asked questions

How many profiles can I have?

There is no stated cap. Most accounts need one per brand or client.

Can a profile be applied to several codes at once?

Not in bulk. Pick it per code in the wizard; the profiles table shows how many codes use each one.

Do profiles work on short links too?

No. Short links have their own retargeting pixel fields on the link create form.

Can teammates use my profiles?

Profiles belong to the account that created them.
