How do I get scan reports by email?
Updated September 14, 2026 · 2 min read · Pro and Business
Go to Settings → Profile → Email Notifications and set Scan Performance Report to Daily, Weekly or Monthly. The change saves as soon as you pick it. The email is a summary of the whole account for that period — total scans against the period before, unique visitors, your top codes, countries, devices and codes that got nothing. It is not a notification for individual scans; we never send a "your code was just scanned" email.
Turn the report on
- Open Settings in the sidebar and stay on Profile.
- Scroll to the Email Notifications card at the bottom.
- On the Scan Performance Report row, open the dropdown and choose Daily, Weekly or Monthly.
The report goes to your account email address. There is no way to send it to a different address or to add extra recipients — forward it if someone else needs it.
Choose Off in the same dropdown to stop the reports, or use the Unsubscribe from scan reports link in the footer of any report.
What the report contains
- At a glance — total scans with the change against the previous period, unique visitors, and how many codes you have, including any created since the last report.
- Top codes — your five busiest codes for the period.
- Countries and devices — the top three countries and the device split.
- Needs attention — active codes that recorded no scans in the period.
- A View Full Analytics button through to the dashboard.
The figures use the same People filter as the dashboard, so they match what you see on the Analytics page for the same window rather than counting raw requests.
When each option sends
| Setting | Sent | Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Daily | Every morning | The last 24 hours, against the day before |
| Weekly | Mondays | The last 7 days, against the 7 before |
| Monthly | The 1st of the month | The last 30 days, against the 30 before |
Reports go out on a single daily run, so the exact arrival time depends on your time zone rather than on when you changed the setting.
Only accounts with at least one QR code and an active subscription are included in the run.
Common problems
The dropdown is stuck on Off with a PRO badge
Scan reports need a Pro or Business plan. On other plans the control is visible but disabled.
I set Weekly and nothing arrived the next day
Weekly reports send on Mondays and monthly reports on the 1st. Choose Daily if you want one tomorrow.
No report arrived at all
Check your spam folder, confirm the account has at least one QR code that is not deleted, and confirm the subscription is active — reports stop when billing lapses.
I want an alert the moment a code is scanned
That does not exist. The nearest options are the report digest, or watching the Recent scans feed on a code's page. See also exporting scan data if you want to push the numbers into your own tooling.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a report for one QR code only?
No. The report covers the whole account, though it names your top five codes.
Can I send it to my team?
It goes to the account email address only. Forward it, or give teammates their own logins and let each set their own frequency.
Does unsubscribing delete anything?
No. It only sets the frequency to Off; the dashboard is unaffected.
Are short-link clicks included?
The report is built around QR code scans and your QR codes.
What happens if there were no scans?
The report still sends, showing zero and listing the codes that need attention.
