QR code tracking software for teams that have to report the number
Per-scan detail rather than a total, scan history kept for the life of the account, and every figure exportable to CSV, GA4, your ad platforms or your own warehouse over the API.

Most QR tools give you a counter, not a dataset
A scan total is enough to know a campaign happened. It is not enough to defend a budget. The questions that come back are always narrower than the number: which of the four flyer designs worked, whether the codes in the north-west stores pulled at all, what the split was between the Tuesday mailer and the Saturday one.
Answering those needs the scans stored as rows, not as a headline figure — each with its own timestamp, device, operating system, browser and location, attributable to one specific code. That is the difference between a QR feature bolted onto a design tool and software built to be reported from.
It also needs the history to still be there next quarter. Scan data here is retained for the life of the account rather than trimmed to a rolling window, so a code printed on packaging two years ago still has its full record behind it.
Where the data can go
Four routes out, so the numbers land wherever your reporting already lives.
| Destination | How it works | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| CSV export | Download the scan rows for any code or date range | All plans |
| Google Analytics 4 | Scans forward as GA4 events so offline traffic joins the same reports as the website | All plans |
| Ad platforms | Meta, TikTok and Google Ads tags fire on scan, turning a printed audience into a retargetable one | Pro and Business |
| REST API | Pull codes and scan data into your own warehouse or BI tool with scoped keys and IP allowlists | Pro and Business |
The API and native integrations cover the automated routes; the CSV covers the ad-hoc ones.
What is recorded per scan
Timestamp
To the second, so hour-of-day and day-of-week patterns are visible rather than inferred.
Device
Brand, model, OS and browser — the detail that explains why one code underperforms on older handsets.
Location
City-level with a map on the trial and Business plan; top countries on Starter and Pro.
Real scans only
One thing worth stating plainly, because the category has a problem with it: every scan in these reports is a real device that loaded the redirect. We do not pad the counts, and we never send “your QR code was just scanned!” emails for scans that did not happen in order to manufacture urgency on a trial.
Bot and scanner-app traffic is classified rather than silently counted as a person, and repeated hits from the same device within a short window are collapsed instead of inflating the total. If a number in your report looks low, it is because that is what happened.
Scan-level detail, retention and the map are described in full on QR code analytics.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long is scan history kept?
For the life of the account. There is no rolling window that quietly drops older scans, so a code printed years ago still has its full record.
Can I get the raw scan rows out?
Yes. Export to CSV on any plan, or pull them programmatically over the REST API on Pro and Business using a scoped key.
Does this track scans of QR codes I made somewhere else?
No, and no tool can. Tracking depends on the code pointing at a redirect we control, which is decided when the code is created. Codes made elsewhere would have to be regenerated and reprinted.
Is location tracking GDPR-compliant?
Location is derived from the IP address at city level and is not precise geolocation; we never ask the scanner for device location permission. See the privacy policy and the DPA for the processing detail.
What does it cost?
Starter is $9/month, Pro is $19/month and Business is $59/month, each with a 7-day free trial that needs no credit card. Pricing is public; there is no contact-sales gate — see pricing.
